भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) के ताजा पूर्वानुमान के मुताबिक मंगलवार 12 मई को दिल्ली-एनसीआर, यूपी-बिहार सहित देश के कई हिस्सों में बारिश, आंधी, बिजली गिरने और तेज हवाओं का असर देखने को मिलेगा. वहीं दूसरी तरफ राजस्थान, गुजरात और मध्य भारत के कुछ हिस्सों में भीषण गर्मी और लू का प्रकोप जारी रहेगा. उधर श्रीलंका के उत्तरी तट के पास दक्षिण-पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी में बना कम दबाव का क्षेत्र अगले 48 घंटों में और मजबूत हो सकता है. इसी सिस्टम के कारण दक्षिण भारत और पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों में भारी बारिश की गतिविधियां तेज होने की संभावना है.
According to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected to affect several parts of the country—including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar—on Tuesday, May 12. Meanwhile, severe heat and heatwave conditions will persist in parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Central India. Separately, a low-pressure area formed in the southwest Bay of Bengal, near the northern coast of Sri Lanka, is likely to intensify further over the next 48 hours. Driven by this very system, heavy rainfall activity is expected to intensify across South India and the northeastern states.
